| 1. Written by Elizabeth Pire, on 18-10-2009 12:07 I called and visited such a place in Ohio. The mattress advertised was $165 for a Queen. When I went to see it, it wasn't what I wanted. However, there was no bait and switch, what he was advertising was indeed that price and there it was. I told him this mattress was for me and he showed me that he had others there. He had me lay on them and I found one that I really liked. It was a good deal and definately not a bait and switch. I will probably go back and get another in the next couple of months. |

Written by Kris Craig, on 10-09-2009 13:27 Oh and I remember she did give me this long (unsolicited) explanation at the beginning of the first call, talking about how she has a friend who gets these mattresses in bulk or something. Usually when a salesperson starts answering a bunch of questions you never asked, that's a sign that something fishy is up. |
| 3. Written by Kris Craig, on 10-09-2009 13:25 Thanks for posting this! I just got off the phone with a lady in Tacoma who was posting ads for a pillow top queen mattress on CraigsList for $149. She couldn't give me much info, just said it was a "regular mattress", pointing out that "the pillow top is only 1 inch but we have other models...." I ran the phone number on Google and found a couple BBB complaints, but the details weren't published. She kept insisting I come in person to discuss the details, but did in the second call mention the brand name was Royal Heritage. I typed the name into Google, and the word "SCAM" suddenly filled my browser window lol. I had an unexplainable gut feeling that something was wrong with this, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I'm glad I listened to my instincts! |

Written by Jeff Hosking, on 16-06-2009 08:44 If you want to buy mattress sets and furniture (bedroom, dining room, leather, microfiber sets) at 50% to 80% more than the local stores pay for their product, then I will charge you $50,000 to join PMD Furniture. Doesn't sound like a good deal? Why? Yeah, it might be true that over 400 dealers that have joined PMD have went out of business, but I still made a ton of money off them, and thats what matters most. I paid Joe Armetta a little under a million dollars a year to have my company PMD Furniture lose 15% to 25% per year since 2006, so I have to rip off my dealerbase and charge them way higher markups on their product. I need to make my money first, and if the dealers go out of business, who cares. Now, it might be true that I yell at dealers and treat them like *** and I mark up their product way to much and rip them off, and over 80% to 90% of new dealers go out of business within a few years, but why do so many former dealers hate me? Why do so many former dealers want to sue me? I know I stole their retirement when they joined PMD and went out of business. You could say I destroyed their marriage and left them broke and in financial chaos, but who cares I got my money. HAHAHAHAH all the way to the bank, Jeff Hosking |
